Welcome to the BSPS Conference 2021

The BSPS Conference 2021 includes keynote talks by Sabina Leonelli "Data and the Quest for Facts: Empirical Knowledge in the Age of Big and Open Data" and Alexander Bird "Against Empiricism", many and varied talks and symposia, special interest lunch sessions on Women in Philosophy and on The Future of Online Events, online exhibitors' booths from University of Chicago Press, Oxford University Press, and BSPS Open, as well as social events.  On Tuesday 6 July there are pre-conference events: "Stories, Experiences & Advice" for graduate students, with sessions on Finishing the PhD and on After the PhD; and a meet-the-editors session with the BJPS editors.

The BSPS Conference 2021 will be entirely online.  We are using the Whova platform which integrates with Zoom.  Please see below to download the free Whova app or to access it through your browser for the best experience of the conference.

While we are not be charging a registration fee for attendance at the BSPS 2021 Conference, we encourage attendees to become members (or renew their membership) of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science here.

Membership is extremely reasonably priced, starting at $20 per year, and just $4 per year for students
Members receive complimentary electronic access to the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science. 
It allows us to provide small conference grants, awards, and doctoral scholarships, as well supporting our annual conference
Members are eligible for book discounts and other benefits
